On behalf of the National Organizing Committee and International Program Committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 9th Symposium on Advances in Automotive Control (AAC 19).

This international symposium series that is supported by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) and organized by the IFAC Technical Committee 7.1 on Automotive Control takes place every three years. The objective of this IFAC Symposium is to contribute to future research and development on Automotive control through active exchange between industry and academia.

Following the past successful symposiums at Ascona, Columbus, Karlsruhe, Salerno, Monterey, Munich, Tokyo and Kolmården, the 9th AAC symposium will be held at the Orléans Conference Center in France.

ACC 19 will cover all areas of Automotive control systems theory and applications, including combustion analysis, engine control, alternative fuels or power systems, modelling and identification of vehicle and engine systems and all types of applications in connection with Automotive systems. The organization of AAC 19 in Orléans, France will be a catalyzer to increase research interest in Automotive systems as well as a great opportunity to explore the research advances in the Automatic Control community.

The AAC 19 program will consist of plenary lectures, parallel and panel sessions, invited talks, industrial exhibitions and more. In addition to the main symposium, there will be a post-symposium tutorial covering both basics and emerging areas within Automotive Control. It will be organized at the PRISME Laboratory of the University of Orleans from Friday, June 28 to Saturday, June 29. To enable you to enjoy Orléans and all the Castles in the Loire valley, the AAC 19 Symposium also proposes a social and cultural program.

We invite you to submit your papers to this Symposium, and look forward to welcoming you in Orleans!
